Ukraine Under Siege: Russian Drone Swarm Strikes Despite ICC War Crimes Warrant

ICC Hits Russia with War Crimes Warrant

The International Criminal Court has issued a war crimes warrant against Russia over atrocities in Ukraine. Yet, this hasn’t stopped relentless Russian attacks pounding Ukrainian soil.

Drone Attack Rains Down on Kyiv and Lviv

On Friday night, 16 Russian drones swarmed Ukrainian skies, targeting the capital Kyiv and Lviv province in the west. The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 11 of them, showing fierce resistance.

Russian Forces Launch Wave of Attacks

Launching strikes from the eastern Sea of Azov coast and Russia’s Bryansk province, the invaders unleashed nonstop assaults in the last 24 hours:

  • 34 air attacks
  • 1 missile strike
  • 57 rounds of anti-aircraft fire

Civilian Casualties and Damage Mount

The violence has left one dead and three wounded in Donetsk province shelling. Falling debris smashed seven homes and a kindergarten in Kherson. Meanwhile, rockets blasted a residential area in Zaporizhzhia overnight, destroying a catering venue and damaging houses.

Despite global condemnation and legal action, Russia’s recklessness in Ukraine shows no sign of easing.
