Child Sex Abuse Horror Rocks Bolton: Dozens Arrested in Operation Pavarotti
Between 2016 and 2018, a gang of men allegedly preyed on underage girls in Blackrod and Adlington, Bolton. Greater Manchester Police launched Operation Pavarotti to crack down on the horrifying child sexual exploitation cases in these areas.
Accused Men Face Court Over Disturbing Charges
The suspects appeared in groups of three or four at Bolton Magistrates’ Court for rapid hearings. None entered pleas. All were bailed until May 10, slapped with strict bail terms:
- No contact with any female under 16
- No contact with complainants or co-accused
- Must avoid a specified address in Bolton
- Must reside at their registered home, details handed to police
Serious Allegations Laid Bare
The men face grave charges, including:
- Causing or inciting sexual activity with a child
- Rape of a female under 16
- Sexual activity with a female under 16
- Sexual assault of a female under 16

Named accused are Ashley Darbyshire, Harvie Aspden, Cory Barrett, Daniel Flatters, Jack Poulson, Jamie Fitzgerald, Elliott Turner, Ross Corley, Brandon Harwood, Richard Haslam, Michael Linfoot, Thomas Rae, and Callum Hesketh.
