Three Arrested After Vodafone Store Smash and Grab in Sittingbourne
Robbery Shakes High Street
Police have swooped on three suspects following a daring raid on a Vodafone shop in Sittingbourne. The gang, including two men and a teen, smashed their way into the High Street store at about 5:20pm on Thursday, 17 October 2024. Thousands of pounds worth of devices were nabbed in the heist.
Fast Police Action Nets Trio
Alert patrols tracked down the crooks less than two hours later. The trio was caught in a park near Canterbury Street, Gillingham, by 7pm the same day. Officers recovered several stolen gadgets at the scene.
Callouts for Silver Audi A3
Kent Police are still hunting a silver Audi A3 linked to the crime. They urge anyone with info to ring 01634 792209, quoting ref 46/176454/24. Tip-offs can also be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through their website.
Suspects Named and Charged
- Ionut Calin, 22, Milton Road, Gillingham
- Valentin Ciuraru, 24, Central Park Road, East London
- 17-year-old boy from East London
All three face robbery charges and are due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 19 October.
