Birmingham Crown Court Sends Dealers Down
Deon Suleman, 23, from Adria Road, Balsall Heath, and Murtaza Rashid, 21, of Wilton Road, Sparkhill, have been jailed for conspiracy to supply Class A heroin and cocaine. A third man, Haidar Ali, 22, was found guilty of taking part in the illegal operation after a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
Lengthy Sentences for County Lines Runners
Suleman pleaded guilty and was handed seven years and four months in prison on 7 September. Rashid and Ali were convicted following the trial.
Police revealed Suleman was the key figure controlling the county line operation. Rashid would travel to Stratford, using addresses of drug users as fronts to sell the Class A narcotics, while mass-sending bulk texts to customers.
