Violent Brawl at Parc Prison Sends Three Inmates to Hospital
Chaos erupted at Parc Prison on Friday night as a punch-up involving around 20 inmates left three prisoners rushed to hospital. Private security firm G4S, which runs the jail, confirmed the injuries are not life-threatening.
Thankfully, no officers were hurt during the fracas. An air ambulance was scrambled but ultimately stood down.
G4S and Authorities Crack Down on Troublemakers
G4S teamed up with His Majesty’s Prison service and the Probation Service to bring the situation under control swiftly and safely.
In a firm statement, G4S warned those involved will face “severe consequences, including possible criminal prosecution,” sending a clear message to troublemakers.
Parc Prison Under Fire After String of Deaths and Protests
Parc Prison is already under intense scrutiny following a spate of sudden inmate deaths. Since February 27, 2024, ten prisoners have died behind bars.
Families of the deceased have taken to protesting outside the prison, demanding answers and justice amid growing anger over conditions inside.
