Three thugs locked up for terrifying raid on vulnerable victim’s home
Luke Johnson, Brody Lower, and Callum Wright-McNee have all been jailed following a brutal raid that left their victim traumatised and his home ransacked, Nottingham Crown Court heard.
Knife-wielding trio storm victim’s house
On November 6, 2022, in Lenton, the three forced their way into a vulnerable man’s home after he refused them entry at the door. Armed with a knife and a spade, they threatened and assaulted him before locking him in a hallway cupboard to stop him escaping.
Victim chased and assaulted outside
Even when the victim managed to flee outside, the attackers caught him, dragged him back inside, and continued their violent rampage. They smashed two TVs and stole mobile phones plus power tools.
Sentences handed down
- Luke Johnson, 20, of Nottingham’s Trowell Road, got the harshest sentence: five years in a young offenders’ institution after admitting robbery, theft, burglary, and affray.
- Brody Lower, 19, from Heanor, Derbyshire, and Callum Wright-McNee, 19, of Nottingham’s Ascot Road, each received two years for burglary and affray.
Police vow justice and send warning
Detective Constable Nicola Bingham-Ward blasted the “appalling invasion” and praised the victim’s courage. She said the sentences would reassure the victim and the community that such violent crime won’t be tolerated.
This crackdown sends a clear message: violent, intrusive crime will be met with tough justice. Police vow to keep hunting down offenders and protecting vulnerable victims.
