Tonbridge Man Busted for String of Violent Shoplifting Sprees

A 30-year-old Tonbridge man has been hit with multiple charges after a spate of shoplifting, threats, and assaults rocked the town over several days.

Violence and Theft Shakes Tonbridge

Between January 26 and February 4, Tonbridge police’s Victim Based Crime Team launched a probe into a series of troubling incidents involving residents and local shops. Two men were assaulted in separate episodes, while one victim faced persistent abuse and threatening language.

Bobby Thorpe Arrested and Charged

Bobby Thorpe, from Royal West Kent Avenue, was arrested on February 7. He now faces two counts of assault, two Public Order Act offences, and theft charges linked to £192 worth of stolen goods from an Aldi near Cannon Lane.

Court Date Set

Thorpe remains in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 8.
