Totland Family Miraculously Escape Dishwater Blaze
A family dodged disaster when a dishwasher fire tore through their home in Totland last night. Firefighters from Freshwater and Newport rushed to the scene just before 11pm on Saturday.
Fire Starts in Dishwasher
The blaze began inside a dishwasher before quickly spreading to nearby cupboards and other parts of the kitchen.
Firefighters Act Fast to Stop Spread
Wearing breathing apparatus, crews stormed into the property and used a hose reel to douse the flames. Their quick response stopped the fire from spreading further through the house.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the dramatic kitchen blaze.
