Swale Teens Hit with Crucial Safety Tips in Bold New Roadshow
School Tour Targets Knife Crime and More
Teenagers across Swale are getting vital safety advice in a hard-hitting roadshow rolling through local schools. Running from Monday, 7 October to Friday, 18 October, the event tackles key issues like drug and alcohol misuse, antisocial behaviour, knife crime, exploitation, and health and social care.
Top Team-Up Delivers Life-Saving Lessons
The roadshow is a powerful partnership between Kent Police, Swale Borough Council, Clarion Housing’s domestic abuse services, charity Uprising Youth and Community, and the NHS. Their target? Year Nine students, aiming to arm them with the facts they need to make smarter, safer life choices.
Local Star Robbie White Brings Event to Life
Helping to engage the young crowd is local singer and actor Robbie White, who hosts the event and bridges the gap between officials and teens with his relatable presence.
Cops Sound Off on Life-Changing Impact
Swale Police Sergeant Carli Deacon said: “By the end of the week, we’ll have visited seven schools and spoken to around 1,000 Year Nine students. This roadshow isn’t just talk — it’s about real-life situations. We want young people to make better choices, stay safe, and understand the consequences of risky behaviour.”
She added, “We’re also giving students the confidence to say no to dangerous situations and to reach out for help from trusted adults or organisations.”
Equipping Teens for Tough Times Ahead
This initiative is a crucial step in helping Swale’s youth navigate tricky social challenges and steer clear of risky behaviours. The message is clear: knowledge is power, and making smart decisions could save lives.
