Heartbreaking Details of the Crash
The police were called at 9:54am on Thursday, July 6, following the smash that injured several people. Eight-year-old Selena Lau died the same day. Nuria Sajjad, the second girl, passed away three days later on Sunday, July 9.
Multiple others, including a seven-month-old baby, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.

Nuria’s family described their daughter as “kind and generous,” a “source of joy” who was loved by everyone. They thanked emergency services, hospital staff, and school community for their support and asked for privacy during this painful time.
Selena’s family called her their “shining star,” adored by all who knew her. They remembered her bright mind and cheeky personality, sharing a smiling photo of Selena in her school uniform. They too requested privacy to grieve.
Driver Arrested – Community Left Reeling
The 46-year-old Wimbledon woman behind the wheel was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was treated in hospital and later released on bail, with a court date pending.
