Knife Chaos in Canterbury: Two Men Charged After Stabbing
Two men have been charged following a serious stabbing in Canterbury Lane on the evening of Saturday, 9 April 2022.
Victim Stabbed and Rushed to Hospital
The victim was attacked by a group of men shortly before 10pm. He suffered a stab wound and was taken to a local hospital before being discharged.
Knife Seized on Ashford Train
Police hunting the suspects stopped two men on a train passing through Ashford and seized a knife as part of their probe.
Suspects Named and Court Dates Set
- Troy Reid, 19, of Bellenden Road, Peckham, south London, faces charges of possession of a bladed article and possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
- Ramone Thompson, 22, of Peckham Rye, Peckham, is charged with possession of a bladed article.
Both men appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 April and were remanded in custody. Their next hearing is set for 9 May at Canterbury Crown Court.
