Two Men Busted in Norwich Drug and Taser Raid
Two Norwich men have been arrested and charged following a pre-planned police raid targeting drug supply. The Metropolitan Police swooped on Wednesday, 8 April, executing warrants that led to serious charges.
Heroin, Cocaine and a Taser: The Charges
John Cann, 47, from Southwell Road, Norwich NR1, faces two counts of conspiring to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and cocaine.
Scott Ives Keeler, 38, of Motum Road, Norwich NR5, is charged with two counts of conspiring to supply Class A drugs plus possession of a prohibited firearm – specifically, a Taser.
Both men were remanded and are set to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 8 April.
Earlier Arrests Linked to Same Operation
The crackdown began earlier in the week. On Wednesday, 1 April, Met Police arrested five suspects from Norwich’s north and east areas as part of the same investigation.
All five were charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, with their next court hearing scheduled for Thursday, 30 April.
Police say the operation dealt a significant blow to the local drugs network, cracking down hard on the supply of heroin and cocaine in Norwich.
