Two Men Charged Over Derby Road Stabbing
Detectives have charged two men after a stabbing on Derby Road shocked the local community. Police were called at 7.19pm on Tuesday evening following reports of an assault.
Victim Seriously Injured But Stable
The victim, a 25-year-old man, suffered serious injuries that are thankfully not life-threatening. Emergency services rushed to the scene to provide urgent care.
Accused Named and Charged
Akbar Ali Islam, 29, and Azad Akhtar Khan, 42—both from Denzil Avenue, Southampton—face charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Court Appearance Set for Today
Both men are due to appear before Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 26 April). Meanwhile, the Southampton Central Neighbourhood Policing Team continues their patrols to reassure the community and prevent further incidents.
