Two Charged with Murder After Man Dies in Newcastle Assault
Two suspects have been charged with murder, and a fourth person arrested, after a man died following a violent assault in Newcastle.
Tragedy on Cartmel Green
Police were called to Cartmel Green, Slatyford, on Wednesday evening after reports of a man being attacked.
Bradley Lee Tams, 23, was found at the scene and sadly pronounced dead shortly after.
Suspects and Ongoing Investigation
- A man and a woman face murder charges and are due in Newcastle magistrates’ court today.
- A fourth suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder.
- Two other men, aged 24 and 47, were arrested for conspiracy to murder but have since been released on bail as enquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Milburn of Northumbria Police said: “Our thoughts remain with Bradley’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of Bradley’s death and are working hard to bring those responsible to justice.”
Milburn urged: “If anyone has any information, please come forward and speak to police. We also ask people to avoid speculation that could hinder legal proceedings.”
