Drug Dealers Busted with £100k of Heroin in Dover
Jack Moore, 30, and Thomas Wood, 44, were caught red-handed in March 2020 with a massive haul of heroin in Limekiln Street. Police stopped their van and found three bricks of heroin plus over 50 wraps of Class A drugs, worth around £100,000 on the streets.
Chase Ends in Hospital for Moore
The drama unfolded near Dover Marina on March 13, 2020. Officers stopped a Ford van carrying the pair. Moore made a desperate run, jumping off a wall and seriously injuring himself. He was treated and discharged before appearing in court.
Heavy Sentences for Kingpins
Both men admitted possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. On October 30, Moore, from Fincham Road, Liverpool, was jailed for five years and three months. Wood, with no fixed address, got four years and 87 days.
Detective Constable Laura Corbin slammed the pair as “higher up the chain than street dealers” and key players in Kent’s Class A drug trade. She said:
“The drugs we seized would have caused more crime and misery to vulnerable users. I’m pleased to see these hefty sentences handed down.”
Kent Police vow to keep cracking down on dealers bringing illegal drugs into the county.
