Couple’s Cocaine Trade Crumbles
Donna Midgeley, 32, and Jordan Williams, 35, from Eastleaze, Swindon, have been jailed after a major SOCU crackdown dubbed Operation Scoria.
Their drug empire was uncovered following a covert police sting that began on May 24, 2022. Officers caught Williams selling cocaine in an Aldi car park to Malcolm Dennis, 50, who then handed over an ounce to local taxi driver Daniel Wells, 43. Dashcam footage nailed the pair and led to their arrest.
Dennis and Wells escaped jail with suspended sentences after pleading guilty — but the plot thickened.
Hidden Cocaine Stash Found in Filing Cabinet
Police tracked Midgeley and Williams’ nocturnal cannabis deals and discovered a secret self-storage unit packed with drugs.
Inside a filing cabinet, officers uncovered over 750 grams of pure cocaine worth up to £75,000. Scales, gloves, and Midgeley’s work uniform with name badge were also seized. Williams’ fingerprints were on the drug packaging, sealing their doom.
The couple’s home held smaller cocaine bundles and a pile of cash, revealing their luxury-fuelled lifestyle.
Judge Slams Couple with Prison Sentences
On December 15, Swindon Crown Court sentenced Williams to four years and eight months behind bars, with Midgeley locked up for four years and three months. Both pleaded guilty to cocaine supply offences.
DS Hilton, SOCU: “This was pure greed. Both had full-time jobs and a roof over their heads, yet they flooded Swindon with cocaine while splashing cash on executive cars. Hiding drugs alongside Midgeley’s uniform was their fatal error.”
