Brothers Busted in Gillingham Heroin and Cocaine Deal

Two brothers have been locked up after police caught them selling heroin and cocaine in Gillingham.

Drug Sting in Pagitt Street

On 29 October 2019, officers from Medway’s Operation Raptor team spotted a known drug user approaching a Range Rover parked in Pagitt Street. Suspecting a deal, the cops moved in, but the car sped off. The police gave chase, flashing their blue lights until the driver, 23-year-old Imaan Farjani, was forced to stop.

Both Imaan and his front-seat passenger, 18-year-old Younis Farjani, were searched. Cops found a wrap of cocaine under the passenger footwell, £465 in cash, and two mobile phones. One phone repeatedly rang with buyers trying to score heroin and coke.

Drug Den Ransacked, Evidence Galore

The brothers’ home on Rushdean Road, Strood was searched next. Officers discovered £1,600 cash in a safe, another phone, two SIM cards, and a list of drug prices with paraphernalia used for packing Class A drugs.

Text messages on the phones revealed the siblings were coordinating drug deals, supplying heroin and cocaine across Gillingham.

Sentenced to Jail

The Farjani brothers pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court. Younis was sentenced to three years and three months, while Imaan got three years and six months behind bars.

Detective Constable Robin Hemsley said: “Kent Police’s Operation Raptor teams are dedicated to smashing county lines, drug dealing, and the exploitation of vulnerable people. Our officers saw a deal in the making and acted fast. The texts proved these brothers were heavily involved in pushing heroin and cocaine in Gillingham.”

“They are rightly behind bars, and we’re moving to seize the £2,000 cash and two cars that are believed to be the proceeds of their crime.”
