Two charged over multi-county burglary spree in South West England
Burglary ring busted across four counties
Wiltshire Police have charged two men linked to a string of burglaries across the South West. Morgan Spiers, 26, from Honeybourne, and Chance Gill, 25, from Norton, have been hit with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal. The charges are part of a probe into a crime wave hitting Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire.
23 burglaries from November to January
The duo face allegations involving 23 offences committed between November 8, 2024, and January 6, 2025. Both suspects appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court in March—Gill on the 14th and Spiers on the 17th. They have been remanded in custody awaiting an April 11 hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
Police vow to crack down on organised crime
“These charges come as a result of extensive enquiries by officers across multiple force areas. We are committed to tackling organised criminality and bringing those responsible for these offences to justice,”
said a Wiltshire Police spokesperson.
