Teen Stabbed in Violent Late-Night Brawl in Gillingham
Kent Police rushed to Bargrove Road at 9.30pm on Sunday 30 June 2024 after reports of a fierce fight outside a home.
A 17-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with what officers say is a stab wound. He remains in a serious but stable condition.
Four Arrested Over Brutal Clash
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder but later bailed as inquiries continue.
Then, on Tuesday 2 July, three more arrests were made as part of a wider probe by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
Knife and Glass Bottle Charges Land Two Teens Behind Bars
- Derrick Okoh, 18, from Brown Street, Gillingham, charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon – a glass bottle.
- Ezekiel Barnes-Naseno, 18, from Abbey Drive, Dartford, faces the same charges, allegedly carrying a knife.
Both men are now remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 4 July.
London Woman Arrested for Assisting Offenders
An 18-year-old woman from London was also arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders. She has since been released on bail pending further investigations.
