Blood on Door Sparks Police Action

At 5.30pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022, Kent Police were alerted by a member of the public after spotting blood smeared on a flat’s front door in The Fairway, Rochester.

Victim Hospitalised with Stab Wounds

Officers rushed to the scene and found a man suffering from stab wounds to his head and hand, alongside other assault injuries. He was immediately taken to hospital, where he remains under treatment.

Two Men Arrested and Charged

Lewis Barovbe, 25, of no fixed address, and Stephen Gillard, 32, from Trevale Road, Rochester, were arrested on suspicion of assault. Both now face grievous bodily harm with intent charges.

Court Dates Set

The pair appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on July 12 and were remanded to Maidstone Crown Court on August 8 for further proceedings.
