Two Men Guilty of Horrific 20-Year-Old Child Sex Crimes

Two men have finally been convicted for sex offences against two vulnerable girls over 20 years ago. The victims were just 14 and 15 years old and living in care when the horrific abuse began.

Paul Doyle’s Kissogram Cover-Up

Between September 1996 and December 1997, 64-year-old Paul Doyle ran a kissogram and escort agency from a taxi base in Digbeth, Birmingham.

  • Doyle exploited one victim by forcing her to work for his agency from age 14 or 15 – pocketing all her wages.
  • He also demanded sex as an “initiation” from women and girls working for him.
  • Doyle was found guilty of indecently assaulting the second victim.

Rolls-Royce Pervert Anthony Bayliss

77-year-old Anthony Bayliss, a self-styled TV producer, regularly used Doyle’s escort services. Cruelly, he met one victim aged just 14 and raped her twice at his home.

Justice Served After Decades

Following a thorough probe by West Midlands Police and prosecution by the CPS Organised Child Sexual Abuse Unit, both men were convicted. The jury had no hesitation after seeing the mountain of evidence.

Claire Brinton, CPS Specialist Prosecutor: “The victims were vulnerable children whose innocence was cruelly stolen by adults seeking sex and profit. These men targeted them because they were young and easily exploited. The victims’ bravery in coming forward helped bring these offenders to justice. We remain committed to pursuing justice no matter how much time has passed.”

Superintendent Wes Martin, West Midlands Police: “These crimes were utterly deplorable. Vulnerable girls were trafficked and exploited. Doyle offered girls for sex while Bayliss paid for sex with underage victims. I thank these brave women for reporting their abuse after all these years. You will always be heard and supported. We will never stop working to bring vile perpetrators to justice.”

Dedicated Unit Fighting Child Sexual Abuse

The CPS’s Organised Child Sexual Abuse Unit handles the most complex cases, ensuring offenders face justice and victims receive support.

This landmark conviction sends a powerful message: no matter how long ago, child sex abusers will be hunted down and punished.
