Two Met Cops Charged with Sexual Assault
Two Metropolitan Police officers, Jerome Beasley, 41, and Luke Robinson, 39, have been hit with four counts of sexual assault each. The alleged attacks took place in central London last April, while both men were off duty.
The pair serve in the Central West Command Unit and have been suspended as the investigation unfolds.
Court Date Set for Police Duo
Beasley and Robinson are due in front of Westminster Magistrates’ Court this Wednesday to face the charges. A Met Police spokesperson confirmed the allegations and stressed the seriousness with which the force is treating the matter.
“We are committed to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct among our officers,” the spokesperson said.
Investigation Under Scrutiny
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is closely watching the case to guarantee transparency and accountability. Public worry has grown, coming after a string of prior police misconduct scandals.
The Met made it clear: any officer found guilty will face harsh penalties.
