Top Cops Sacked for Shocking Misconduct Scandal!

Senior Officers Busted for Gross Misconduct

Two senior Met Police officers have been dismissed without notice after a misconduct hearing exposed gross breaches in professional behaviour. Chief Superintendent Paul Martin and Chief Inspector Davinder Kandohla were found guilty of multiple offences including dishonesty, misuse of corporate credit cards, and mistreatment of junior colleagues – one of whom was pregnant.

The Independent Legally Qualified Chair led the hearing, which concluded on Sunday, 16 January, laying bare the serious failings within the Met’s ranks.

Misuse of Power and Conflicts of Interest

  • Chief Supt Paul Martin misused a corporate credit card and failed to disclose conflicts of interest during Chief Inspector Kandohla’s promotion process.
  • Chief Inspector Kandohla himself took part in his own promotion process while hiding conflicts of interest and gave misleading statements during the investigation.
  • Both showed disrespect and poor conduct towards junior officers, breaking the trust expected at their levels.

Both were dismissed instantly for their gross misconduct.

Other Officers Also Under Fire

Sergeant James Di-Luzio was found guilty of misconduct due to misuse of a corporate credit card and inappropriate behaviour towards junior staff. He was handed management advice rather than dismissal. Meanwhile, PC Karina Kandohla was cleared of all charges.

The investigation, which started in July 2018 and expanded in 2019, covers breaches between 2017 and 2019 affecting several frontline and leadership officers.

Met Police Vows Zero Tolerance

“Three of these officers were in leadership roles and should have set the highest standards. Instead, they abused their positions and treated juniors appallingly. This will not be tolerated,” said Commander Catherine Roper.

The Professional Standards Directorate (DPS) is ramping up efforts to rebuild public trust through detailed investigations, new action plans, and increased oversight. The Met stresses it demands professionalism, integrity, courage, and compassion from every officer — and vows swift action against those who fall short.
