Knife Attack in Kensington: Man Charged with Attempted Murder
Majid Kebire, from Kensington and Chelsea, has been charged with attempted murder and carrying a pointed/bladed weapon in public. He faced Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 15.
Multiple Arrests Following Brutal Stabbing
Police were scrambled to Junction Mews, W2, on Saturday, June 11, after reports of a group fighting with knives just after 6:30pm. Officers found a 28-year-old man with serious stab wounds. London Ambulance Service treated him on-site before rushing him to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Prior to Kebire’s arrest, two others—Joseph Akapelwa, 26, from Southall, and 18-year-old Fadel Dabbous of NW8—were also charged with attempted murder. Dabbous faces an additional charge for possession of a bladed article. Both appeared in court on June 13.
Police Hunt for Critical Witness
Authorities issued a media appeal to find Steven Woods, 25, of Westminster, linked to the case. Kebire was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on June 15, charged the next day, and remanded in custody to appear again at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 17.
