Two Arrested in Folkestone Rape and Theft Investigation

Kent Police have arrested two suspects following a reported rape in Folkestone.

Attack in Payers Park

The horrific incident took place around 12.30am on Wednesday, 23 October 2019, in Payers Park. The victim was not only sexually assaulted but also had several personal items stolen during the attack.

Suspects in Custody, Both Released on Bail

On Sunday, 27 October, a 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from Folkestone, were arrested. The man faces suspicion of rape and theft, while the woman is held on suspicion of theft. Both have since been released on bail as inquiries continue.

Police Seek Witness Who Helped Victim

“Detectives are eager to speak with a man who came to the victim’s aid but has not yet come forward,” Kent Police said.
