Couple Attacked and Mobiles Stolen in Shocking Kent Burglary
A brutal robbery took place at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, when a man and woman were assaulted at a home on Cheriton Road, Folkestone.
The man was badly hurt and had to be rushed to hospital.
Suspects Nabbed by East Kent CID
Following a swift investigation, police charged James Rooney, 56, of Charlotte Street, Folkestone, and Kayleigh Smith, 35, homeless, with aggravated burglary, assault causing actual bodily harm, and affray.
Next Stop: Canterbury Crown Court
The pair faced Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Both got bail but are due back at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, September 26, 2022.
