Bus station brawl ends in bags and phone stolen
Two teenage boys were targeted and robbed of luxury bags at Bluewater Shopping Centre’s bus station around 7.40pm on Monday, 17 February 2020. Along with the high-end handbags, one lad had his phone snatched. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.
Suspects caught within 40 minutes
Police moved quickly, arresting two suspects – aged 17 and 16, both from London – by 8.20pm after scouring the area. Both teens were charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery following further investigation.
Court drama unfolds
- The duo were remanded in custody and set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 19 February.
- At the hearing, the 16-year-old pleaded guilty and was remanded to Medway Youth Court, with his next date pending.
- The 17-year-old denied the charges and was granted bail pending a Medway Youth Court appearance on 25 March.
