Two Teens Locked Up Over Worthing Knife Attack
Two teenage boys have been remanded in custody after being charged with assaulting another boy in Worthing town centre.
The pair appeared at 123 Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 16. They face serious charges including wounding with intent, affray, and possession of a knife or bladed article in public.
Details of the Incident and Ongoing Investigations
- The suspects are a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boy.
- Both have been remanded in custody awaiting their next court appearance.
- A 13-year-old boy arrested on February 15 for affray and possession of an offensive weapon has been bailed pending further investigation.
- Another 13-year-old, arrested on February 13 for conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm, has also been bailed.
- A 17-year-old arrested on the same charge on February 13 has been released without charge.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“We have charged two suspects in connection with this incident, but we continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward,” said Sussex Police.
“Sussex Police continues to respond to people’s concerns about anti-social behaviour from a small group of young people in and around Worthing. We are working closely with Worthing District Council and Children’s Services to tackle these issues and keep our communities safe.”
