Teen Hackers Nabbed in City of London Police Crackdown

The City of London Police have swooped on a suspected hacking gang, charging two teenagers aged 16 and 17. Both teens remain in custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

Serious Cybercrime Charges Laid

Detective Inspector Michael O’Sullivan revealed the teens face multiple charges:

  • Three counts of unauthorised access to a computer with intent to impair data reliability
  • One count of fraud by false representation
  • One count of unauthorised access with intent to hinder data access
  • Plus, the 16-year-old is charged with causing a computer to perform a function to gain unauthorised access to a program

Court Appearance This Morning

The pair are set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court today (1 April 2022) to face the charges.
