Police Hunt Pervert After Two Shocking Sexual Assaults in Coventry Park

West Midlands Police are on high alert after two separate sexual assaults rocked Coventry within a week. Both victims, young women aged 18, were targeted in Swanswell Park, leaving the community shaken and police desperate for public help to track down the offender.

Latest Attack: Victim’s Friend Intervenes

The most recent attack happened just before 1am on 27 January near the Swanswell Park entrance close to White Street and Primrose Hill Street. An 18-year-old woman was approached and sexually assaulted by a man. Thankfully, her friend heard her distress call and stepped in. The attacker then fled towards Stoney Stanton Road.

Similar Incident Days Earlier

Only days before, at around 12:40am on 21 January, another 18-year-old woman was attacked in the same area. A man crept from behind and assaulted her, but she courageously fought back, forcing him to sprint away.

Police Description and Appeal

Officers describe the suspect as a slim-built male, between 5ft 4in and 5ft 9in tall, aged 20 to 30 years old. West Midlands Police are actively supporting both victims and investigating the cases under references 20/181174/24 and 20/159054/24.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward immediately to assist in catching this dangerous predator.
