Cop Hit by Car in Shocking Grays Incident
An officer was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car on Stanford Road, Grays, shortly before 8am on Saturday, 31 October.
Driver Flees After Collision
The drama unfolded when the officer signalled the driver to stop. Instead, the car sped off. The driver then pulled over, but when the officer approached on foot, the vehicle suddenly collided with them and sped away again.
Air Ambulance Rushes Officer to Hospital
The injured officer was airlifted to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.
Two Arrested Over Brutal Incident
- A 45-year-old woman from Chadwell St Mary has been arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent, failing to stop, and dangerous driving causing serious injury.
- A 22-year-old man from Grays faces charges of perverting the course of justice.
