Man Charged After Woman Sexually Assaulted in Fake Taxi Horror
Woman Duped into Fake Taxi in Southampton
Police have charged a man following a shocking incident in Southampton in the early hours of Sunday, 30 July. A 30-year-old woman from Fareham got into what she thought was a taxi at just before 2am in Bedford Place.
Sexual Assault Near M27
Instead of a safe ride home, the woman was sexually assaulted over her clothing and dumped near junction 9 of the M27. Remarkably, she escaped without physical injuries.
Suspect in Custody
Elvis Williams, 57, of Mosaic Close, Southampton, has been charged with kidnap and sexual assault. He is set to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
