Row on Bus Ends in Shocking Assault

On January 30 at around 5.20pm, a heated argument broke out between a man and a woman on the 12a bus heading towards Brighton. The confrontation escalated when the bus pulled into The Fairway stop in Newhaven.

The woman got off the bus but was immediately followed and assaulted by a man in his 50s, described as having long white hair and a white beard.

Man Arrested, Witnesses Sought

Police have arrested a 50-year-old man from St Leonards in connection with the attack. He has been bailed as inquiries continue.

Several members of the public reportedly stepped in or saw the incident. Police are urgently trying to trace these witnesses.
