Man Battles for Life After Woolwich Shooting
A man is fighting for his life after being shot in Woolwich late Monday night (June 10).
Gunshots Heard Near Granby House
Police were called at around 10:35pm following reports of gunfire near Granby House on Ogilby Street. Armed officers raced to the scene but initially found no victim. Later, it emerged a man in his 20s had arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. He remains in critical condition.
Crime Scene Set Up, Search for Shooter Underway
The Metropolitan Police have taped off a crime scene and are hunting the gunman. No arrests have been made yet, and cops are urging anyone with information to speak up.
“Police were called at approximately 22:35hrs on Monday, June 10 to reports of a firearm discharge near Granby House, SE18. Officers, including armed units, attended but no victim was found at the scene. We were later informed a man in his 20s had gone to hospital with a gunshot injury and he remains in critical condition,” said a Met Police spokesperson.
“A crime scene remains in place. Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information should call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC quoting CAD 7941/10Jun.”

The shooting has left locals stunned and worried about safety in the area. Police have promised to do all they can to catch the suspect and protect the community.
