Man Charged with Kidnap in Worthing
A 20-year-old man has been charged with kidnap following a worrying incident involving a 7-year-old boy in Worthing, Sussex.
Welfare Concerns Spark Investigation
Police launched an investigation after a report raised concerns for the boy’s welfare on Broadwater Road at around 3:30pm on June 24. Thankfully, the child is unharmed and is currently safe with his family.
Suspect in Custody and Facing Court
John Perkins, from Worthing, was arrested and charged with kidnap. He appeared at Lewes Crown Court on June 27, where he was remanded in custody. Perkins is due back in court on July 24 for a plea hearing.
