New £20,000 Reward Launched to Crack Junior Nelson Murder Mystery After Nine Years
Decade-Old Northolt Murder Reignited
A fresh appeal has been launched to solve the chilling murder of Junior George Nelson, whose remains were found near railway lines in Northolt nine years ago. Crimestoppers charity is now dangling a hefty £20,000 reward for information that leads to those responsible being caught and charged.
Junior’s body was discovered on March 14, 2016, tucked away in undergrowth behind Rabournmead Drive. He had vanished months earlier, last seen on August 15, 2015, in Kilburn, northwest London.
Police Plea: “Time to Speak Up”
Despite a major investigation by the Met Police, no arrests have been made in this heartbreaking case.
“It’s been ten years since Junior disappeared – years in which his family and friends have been left without the answers they deserve. We remain committed to finding those responsible for Junior’s death, but we need the public’s help,” said Detective Constable Iain McDonald.
DC McDonald urged anyone in the Kilburn community – where Junior was well known – to come forward.
“A lot can happen in ten years. Allegiances can change. Maybe you felt unable to speak up then – now is the time to do so.”
Safe, Anonymous Tip-Offs Rewarded
The reward is managed by Crimestoppers, an independent charity guaranteeing complete anonymity for whistleblowers. London Regional Manager Alexa Loukas stressed the importance of stepping forward.
“Even though ten years have passed, what you know could be the key to bringing justice for Junior and giving his family the answers they desperately need. We don’t trace calls or record personal data. You can speak freely without fear.”
Tip-offs must be made directly to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111 or their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org. Callers need a reward code to qualify.
