Fatal Canterbury Crash: Police Hunt Witnesses After Deadly Early Morning Smash
Police are urgently seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in Canterbury in the early hours of Saturday, 3 December 2022.
Red Ford Fiesta Crashes at The Old Gate Inn Roundabout
A red Ford Fiesta crashed at around 4:20am on the A2050 New Dover Road near The Old Gate Inn roundabout. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.
Emergency services, including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue, attended the scene. Tragically, an 18-year-old woman inside the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four other passengers were rushed to a local hospital but none suffered life-threatening injuries.
Man Arrested Over Deadly Crash
A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the probe.
