15-Month-Old Rushed to Hospital After Brick Strike

A 15-month-old baby was rushed to hospital after a brick smashed through a bus window and struck him on the head. Shards of glass also fell into the pram during the terrifying incident on Battlefield Road at around 6.45pm on January 10.

The infant was treated and examined at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital before being discharged. Thankfully, the youngster avoided serious injury.

Distressed Mother and Police Appeal for Witnesses

“Fortunately, the baby was not seriously injured,” Detective Inspector Darren Munogee said. “But this has left her mother extremely upset and distressed.

Our investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances. We are appealing to anyone who saw or knows who threw the brick to contact us immediately.”

Witnesses Urged to Come Forward

Police are particularly keen to speak with anyone who was on the bus at the time but has not yet spoken to officers.
