Child Rushed to Hospital After Bolton Attack
A 10-year-old boy was stabbed in broad daylight in Bolton on Saturday afternoon. Police rushed to Bridgeman Street at around 1.20pm following reports of the attack.
The young victim was taken to hospital and is now in a stable condition. Medics expect him to be discharged later tonight.
18-Year-Old Arrested After Police Manhunt
Officers swiftly arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of a section 18 assault. The suspect remains in custody as detectives continue their questioning.
The police have reassured the public that this appears to be an isolated incident with no broader threat to the community.

Detective Superintendent Joanne Rawlinson said:
“No child should ever be the victim of such a distressing incident. Our thoughts are with the boy and his family as he receives treatment. We are relieved to hear he is doing well and should be discharged later today.”
She added the police are working tirelessly to uncover all the details and urged locals to come forward with any information.
“Several officers remain in the area offering support. Please speak to them if you have any concerns,” she said.
