Teen Arrested After Fatal Croydon Bus Stabbing
17-Year-Old Detained Over Damani Mauge’s Death
Homicide detectives have arrested a 17-year-old boy from Mitcham in connection with the stabbing murder of Damani Mauge in Croydon. The teen was taken into custody on Sunday, 15 March, on suspicion of murder.
He remains held as police continue their investigation.
Deadly Stabbing on Whitehorse Lane Bus
The brutal attack happened on Sunday, 8 March at about 8.30pm on the number 130 bus travelling along Whitehorse Lane, SE25. Emergency services rushed to the scene where Damani, also 17, was found with a fatal stab wound to the chest.
He was pronounced dead at 9.07pm. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
Investigation Ongoing – Police Seek Witnesses
A post-mortem confirmed a stab wound as the cause of death. Early reports suggest Damani was involved in a fight on the bus before he was attacked.
