Teens Nabbed with Firearm and Zombie Knife After Minicab Stop
Two 18-year-olds were caught red-handed with a loaded revolver and a deadly zombie knife during a routine minicab stop in Epsom. The pair were hauled before Croydon Crown Court this month, where they admitted their crimes.
Patrick Santos & Jordan Carr Plead Guilty
- Patrick Santos, of Rose Lane, Romford, pleaded guilty to possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition without a certificate on 13 May.
- Jordan Carr, from Palmerston Road, Enfield, admitted carrying a pointed/bladed weapon in public at an earlier hearing on 17 April.
- Both await sentencing at Croydon Crown Court on a date yet to be confirmed.
Specialist Crime Officers Make Critical Bust
The incident unfolded at 10:10 pm on 19 March when Specialist Crime police, backed by armed officers, stopped a minicab on Tilley Lane as part of an ongoing firearm offences probe.
Upon being detained, Santos immediately confessed to having a gun. Officers found a revolver tucked in his jacket pocket and ammunition in a plastic bag. Carr was searched too, revealing a zombie knife and a sheathed blade in his waistband.
Both men were taken to a south London police station where they refused to comment during questioning. They were charged on 20 March and have now been convicted.
Police Vow to Keep Tackling Violent Crime
“These two dangerous weapons have been taken off the streets. They could have seriously injured or killed someone,” said Detective Inspector Glenn Butler from Specialist Crime. “Despite current challenges, the Met remains determined to fight violent crime. We will keep cracking down on criminals and bringing them to justice.”
