A violent attack in Rochester has landed a 38-year-old man in hot water after a woman suffered severe head wounds.
Woman Rushed to Hospital After Shocking Attack
On the evening of Saturday 18 November 2023, emergency crews were called to a home in Rochester where they found a woman with serious injuries. She was swiftly taken to hospital for urgent treatment.
Viorel Cozmic Arrested and Charged
Viorel Cozmic, suspected of the assault, was arrested the very next day. The Medway Vulnerability Investigation Team is heading the probe. Cozmic faces multiple charges including grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, and non-fatal strangulation.
He was remanded to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 20 December 2023.
Victim and Suspect Known to Each Other
Police have confirmed the woman, in her 40s, knew Cozmic prior to the attack. Investigations continue as the community reels from this shocking case.
