Unidentified Woman Found on Scottish Shoreline

The body of a woman was discovered at around 8:30am on Saturday, 30 January 2021. She was found on the shore near Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club, but her identity remains a mystery.

Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Information

Despite extensive enquiries, officers have yet to identify her. Detective Inspector Craig Still said: “We have had significant interest from previous appeals and are grateful to everyone who has come forward. However, sadly, this woman remains unidentified.”

He added: “We are releasing a composite image in the hope someone recognises her. One lead suggests she may have been seen in the area before her body was found. We urge anyone who might have seen her to get in touch.”

National and International Investigation Underway

Investigations are ongoing with colleagues across the UK and beyond. The National Crime Agency’s UK Missing Persons Unit is also lending vital support in tracing her identity and family.

Detective Still continued: “We are using every available resource. Please contact us if you have any information, no matter how small. Help us bring closure to this case and her loved ones.”
