Shocking Eyewitness Account

A local shopkeeper rushed outside after hearing the cries. “He was crushed beneath the wheels. I yelled at the driver to stop,” she said. “I called the ambulance straight away and told them to come quickly because he was losing too much blood. I couldn’t move him—I didn’t know what to do.” She added, “I told them to hurry because he was going to die. It was truly dreadful. There were numerous people trying to help.”

Another Fatal Blow for London’s Cyclists

This tragic death marks the seventh cyclist killed in London this year. The lorry driver reportedly told police he didn’t see the cyclist due to the size of the truck. “It’s heartbreaking that this young man has died,” the eyewitness said.

Police and Emergency Response

The Met Police confirmed officers were called to Charleville Road, W14, at 3.18pm on 15 December. “It was reported that a cyclist collided with a lorry,” a spokesman said. The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene, but sadly the cyclist was pronounced dead at the spot. Local roads remain closed while emergency teams deal with the aftermath.
