Fatal Five-Vehicle Smash on A120
Tragedy struck just after 11pm on Friday, 6 May, when a five-vehicle crash occurred on the A120 between Ramsey and Parkeston.
Collision Involving HGVs, Cars and Motorcycle
The crash involved two HGVs, two cars, and a motorcycle. Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Dovercourt, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
Man Arrested Over Death by Dangerous Driving
A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and attempting to pervert the course of justice. He remains in police custody.
Road Reopens After Overnight Closure
The A120 was shut in both directions overnight while officers investigated. The road reopened shortly before 8am Saturday morning.
