Teen Arrested in South West London Terror Raid

A 19-year-old man was arrested this morning in South West London in a bold counter-terror swoop by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.

Armed Police Make Early Morning Arrest

Armed officers stormed a property today, 5 July, executing a warrant under Schedule 5 of the Terrorism Act 2000. The suspect was detained on suspicion of terrorism offences under Section 41 of the same act.

No Injuries, No Immediate Threat

Thankfully, no one was hurt during the operation. The arrested man has been taken to a London police station where he remains in custody. Officers are still searching the premises as enquiries continue.

Separate from Luton Terror Arrests

Police stressed this arrest is not linked to the earlier detentions of a man and woman in Luton this week, also connected to terrorism probes.

More updates to follow as the investigation unfolds.
