Man Arrested in Luton Over Terrorism Offences

Counter Terrorism Command Makes Key Arrest

Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, backed by the Eastern Region Specialist Operations Unit, arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of spreading terrorist publications. He also allegedly breached notification rules by failing to provide an email identifier, a requirement under the Terrorism Act 2008.

Arrest and Investigation Details

The man was taken into custody around 12:45pm on Wednesday, 21 October, at a property in Luton. Police detained him under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and transported him to a south London police station for questioning.
