Man Killed in Early Morning Thamesmead Hit-and-Run
Just after 5.15 a.m. on Friday, 17 February, tragedy struck on Eastern Way in Thamesmead. Police rushed to the scene after reports of a car smashing into a male pedestrian near Yarnton Avenue.
Victim Dies at Scene
Emergency crews from the London Ambulance Service attended immediately, but sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details about the victim have been released.
Driver Stopped – No Arrests Yet
The driver pulled over and stayed at the scene. Police confirmed there have been no arrests as they continue their investigation. Road closures remain in place in the area.
