Tragic Crash on A27 Claims Life of Young Driver
Just before midnight on Wednesday 10 February, tragedy struck on the A27 near Chichester. A black Volkswagen Golf, heading east, crashed fatally.
Driver Dies, Passenger Critically Injured
- The driver, a 25-year-old man from Havant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The passenger, a 19-year-old man also from Havant, suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Road Closures and Police Appeal
The A27 between Fishbourne and Emsworth roundabouts remains closed both ways as police launch a full investigation. Drivers are urged to find alternative routes.
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses. They want to hear from anyone with dash cam footage of the crash or the Volkswagen Golf before the smash. They’re also keen to speak to the driver of a red Audi A3, who may hold crucial information.
