A murder probe is underway after a 10-year-old boy was found dead in Acton, west London. A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection with the boy’s death.

Woman Walks Into Police Station Before Tragedy Unfolds

Police were alerted around 2.30am on Sunday, 16 August, when the woman voluntarily attended a west London police station and spoke to officers. Shortly after, police and paramedics rushed to a home in Cumberland Park, W3.

Boy Found Dead at Home – Identity Pending Formal Confirmation

At the address, the 10-year-old boy was discovered lifeless. Officers say they believe they know who he is but are waiting for formal identification. Next of kin have already been informed.

Investigation Continues – No Other Suspects at This Time

The woman was known to the child. Police confirm no one else is currently being sought in connection with the case. Detectives from Specialist Crime are leading the inquiry, and a post-mortem will be arranged soon.
